Adam graduated IN 1983 from the British School of Osteopathy, now known as the University College of Osteopathy. He worked for fifteen years in the NHS muscular-skeleteal service in Leeds and Wetherby. He has a particular interest in teaching the conditions affected the older patient. In 2018 he returned to university to complete a Post Graduate Certificate of Education in the Integrted Care of the Elderly.
He is a keen yachtsman with a Yachtmaster qualification. Having played rugby for many years at Wetherby RUFC, he now coaches in the junior section.
